Alec Baldwin secured a significant victory within the ensuing authorized battle over the tragic loss of life of Halina Hutchins on the set of his movie Battle,
The 64-year-old star was charged with involuntary manslaughter in late January. If convicted, he may resist 18 months in jail on that alone.
Nevertheless, the “firearms enhancement” with the cost carried a further 5 years in jail. Alec formally requested that the enhancement, which was not legally applied till after the unintended taking pictures, be dropped from his expenses.
The enhancement was dropped on Monday (February 20).

Alec is on the heart of one other lawsuit stemming from the tragedy.
